Founded in 1996 by a small group of independant thinking Web designers and network administrators, The Microsoft Boycott Campaign has one purpose - to return real choice to the computer industry by defeating Microsoft and its chokehold that destroys innovation and competition. We feel that Microsoft Corporation is the biggest threat there is to freedom, to personal privacy, and to a freely competitive economy. (For more information about our misson and motive, please see The MSBC FAQ.)
Since their launches in 1997, our Web site and Boycott Bulletin e-newsletter have been doggedly pursuing the truth about Microsoft, because we know that an informed people would never allow the abuses of law and violations of personal privacy Microsoft is guilty of committing during its 25-year-plus history. The MSBC is no longer a true boycott effort, but has evolved into more of an 'information campaign' because we believe that truth is the most powerful weapon of democracy.
